My sister and I each bought one of your silver bracelets and a heart charm for motherhood. We had just lost our mum who never wore jewellery so in her memory, we purchased a bracelet and a heart charm each. You had a pop up store in John Lewis, Cribbs, Bristol. We then swapped over our bracelets and charm with each other as a gift to remember mum. The girls on the stand were so kind, a few tears were shed and we all had a group hug. It was a very special moment. We later added the mental health bird charm – again buying them for each other. Shortly after, my dog died and my sister bought me another heart charm. Honestly, I wear my bracelet every single day with so much love and memories of what it represents. Thank you and good luck to you the team! x

Thank you for every story
This will be our final Christmas, and before we turn the page, we'd love to celebrate everything these ten years have meant. We've created this digital message board where you can share what Recognised has meant to you, read the stories of others and help us bring together the memories that have made this journey so special. We'd love for it to become a little collection of all the moments, people and feelings that made Recognised what it was.

So sorry to hear your Recognised update Anneka. I wear my pearl necklace & heart bangle every day, precious gifts from my girls. Thank you for creating such beautiful, meaningful, special pieces of jewellery. I treasure them as gifts from my daughters & the meaning behind their creation x
The start of motherhood through adoption – moving from ‘in crisis’ to ‘in care’ to ‘in love’ and ‘in family’ x
I wear the Dove because my husband suffers with his mental health, and I believe by wearing this Dove it can help to prompt a conversation and therefore “recognition” of the issues surrounding the mental health crisis and the growing need for support. In addition, I believe in the cause to end modern slavery and hope that by wearing this Pearl it can bring awareness of this violation of human rights and it’s consequence
My best friend got the Pearl Popon – we are both journalists passionate about ending slavery. I first found out about Recognised through Focus festival!
I bought a necklace and letter popon to recognise a life of a young 10month year old patient with cancer who died. For them and all the young people, I recognise their courage, witness to endurance and the privilege for me of shared space with them.
I wear my heart to remember my daughter Aida who was born still.
I am struggling with mental health problems at the moment and having this around my neck helps me think of my self and others through this time.
My Popon of solidarity holds a special place in my heart.. It’s more than jewellery, it is a reminder that even the smallest acts can ripple outward in kindness. By choosing it from a recognised jewellery shop, I am not just wearing something beautiful , I am standing with the Refugee Community , supporting their powerful work and honouring the resilience and hope that connects us all.
I wear the Motherhood Popon to remember my lovely Mum, remember that I tried my best as a mum and watching my daughter be an amazing mum! I love that you support other mums -we are so privileged in so many ways
My daughter is leaving for university shortly. The motherhood Popon reminds me that she’ll always be with me even when we are going to be hundreds of miles apart, and that I’ve done a good job of raising her to be ready to take this big next step in her life.
I wear the Motherhood Popon – as a mother I think it is so important to lift others up and these causes resonate so much with me.
I wear the Dove Popon – It reminds me to pray and keep in my heart all my family, friends, or colleagues who are or have someone going through mental health struggles.
I wear the Alphabet Popon – my 3 year old nephew died from a brain tumour so cancer research is really close to my heart.
My popon is a reminder of self-value and courage
I wear the Pebble Popon in recognition for minority groups who just want be able to peacefully get on with their lives.
My faith bangle and earrings represent my faith in Jesus Christ and how He walks with me throughout the ups and downs. The Solidarity pebble and the modern slavery pearl Popon remind me to never give up praying for what our world needs to unite us.
My friend gave me the pearl Popon for my 60th birthday and it represents our shared love and hope for those caught up in modern slavery and for those who spend their waking hours pursing their freedom.
I gifted the Dove Popon to my 14 year old daughter – it’s a representation of supporting good mental health in such an important age group
I wear the Dove Popon – it is a symbol of the hope that I can continue my healing journey and give me the strength to carry on especially during my darkest days. My mum bought this necklace for me and it carries a lot of emotions as I never take it off my neck for fear of losing it so it is with & on me day and night.
I wear the Dove Popon – in the last two years, I’ve lost two beautiful brothers to suicide and then my dad. I did the minds October challenge and ran 121 miles and raised £2200.00
My Popon means everything – My mother passed away in October of this year & my sister bought the bangle with the You Are Enough popon added to it for me for Christmas. It gives me comfort as I am going through the grieving process.
Knowing I am wearing something that has gone a little way to help is nice…and when people notice it, I can mention it and help spread kindness.
I wear the Faith Popon – it reminds me to keep trusting even when things are tough right now
I love that im supporting racial equality and solidarity, apart from loving the design. Its also from some inheritance from my father who passed away last October. I will always remember him when I wear it ❤️
I wear my Popons as recognition of my journey to motherhood, which God eventually blessed me with two beautiful sons. Recognition of my Cancer journey that God took me through and will continue to be beside me in. Recognition of Gods word to me 2 months ago after asking him for some encouragement he literally gave me the word Beloved.
I wear the Faith Popon – in uncertain times it gives me courage, hope and strength, it means the world and a present from my mum.
I bought the Dove Popon as a gift to my daughter to let her know how much she is loved always xxx
I bought the Pebble Popon to symbolise children and families I have worked with this year in school, who have struggled for different reasons. They gave me vouchers as a thank you and I wanted something to keep that represented them. I love my necklace and plan to wear it with love and pride.
During a time of difficult physical and mental health I unexpectedly came home to a simple white box in the porch… but inside… the personal message, The Recognised Pin and the Messages of Hope…. so beautifully and carefully presented. Yes I felt a little emotionally overwhelmed that, not only did someone care, but they chose to spend time and money – on me whilst supporting so many great projects. It was like opening a box of warmth, compassion and consideration. The reminder and reassurance that we are not actually alone was immense. Thank you to my beautiful friend for recognising me!
You are seen. You are Loved. You are Recognised.
