Pay in Three
How does it work?
That's right, you can spread the cost of your purchase over three equal payments. The payment for each instalment will automatically be collected from the debit or credit card you entered at checkout. Your first instalment will be collected when your order is confirmed by Recognised and instalments 2 and 3 are scheduled 30 and 60 days later, respectively.
How do I order using Pay in Three?
Add your items to your basket and go to checkout as normal. Your billing and delivery address can be different, however, they need to be in the same country. Make sure you enter a mobile number and then on the payment page, Select 'Pay over time with Klarna' as your payment option (below PayPal option). You'll be taken to a Klarna payment portal to complete your order. Simple.

To use Pay in three you'll need:
- To be 18 years or over
- A UK residential address
- A UK bank account with good credit history
- A valid mobile number and email address
- A credit/debit card to be valid for 60 days from purchase date

How will I know if I’m eligible to use Pay in 3?
You must be at least 18 to use Pay in 3, and eligibility is determined through an affordability assessment. An affordability assessment is a ‘soft check’ and will not affect your credit rating.
Does use of Pay in 3 require a full credit check?
No, a full credit check is not required to use Pay in 3, but Klarna will carry out an affordability assessment, where you will be asked to provide or confirm some details of your financial situation. This is in your best interests, so we can check you are able to meet your repayment obligations.
Will I be charged interest or fees?
We charge no interest, upfront fees or additional repayment costs on your purchase. You can simply spread the cost of your purchase over time – but it won’t cost you a penny more than if you paid for it in one go upfront. Simple.
What happens if I cancel or return my order between payment windows?
Changed your mind? No problem. As soon as the retailer has accepted your cancellation or return, we will cancel any future scheduled payments as well as refund any amounts already settled.
What would happen if I don’t pay off my purchase?
Klarna would automatically try to collect payment for your purchase from the debit or credit card you entered at checkout. If they're unable to collect your payment on the scheduled due date they’ll make one further attempt to automatically collect payment two days later. If this attempt also fails, they will issue you a statement for the full outstanding order amount which will become payable 15 days later. Klarna are committed to clarity of communication, and will notify you when a payment is due two days before we attempt to collect it.
