As Recognised turns 5 years old and on Giving Tuesday 2023, we are excited to announce the launch of The Recognised Foundation - helping people to feel, seen, valued and recognised when they need it most.
The Recognised Foundation was created to help grow the important work of recognising people when they need it most and enable us to create new projects where we’ve long seen a gap for them as well as continuing to collaborate with existing and new charity partners. We believe that recognition, no matter how small or simple, has the power to change someone's situation for the better.

What does the Recognised Foundation do?
Introducing Recognition Projects - a collection of beautifully and thoughtfully curated services to help people feel seen, valued and recognised when they need it most. From dinners connecting people experiencing loneliness to monthly letters of encouragement to teenage girls- every project is focused around one of our 6 causes (Mental Health, Cancer Support, Motherhood, Solidarity, Modern Slavery, Female Empowerment) and has been created with this thought in mind: How can we recognise people when they need it most?
This Christmas, for the first time at Recognised, our customers will be able to pick the Recognition Project they’d like to support with every purchase. Each order now comes with a special Recognition Card for you to choose a project or pass on the choice if it's a gift.
Read on to find out about each Recognition Project in a bit more detail. This article explores each one and tells you all you need to know for each project.
We’re so excited for this evolution of social impact at Recognised and want to thank our community for the change you’ve helped create so far, raising nearly £100,000 for charity projects, representing thousands of lives made brighter when they needed it most. Recognition is powerful and the smallest bit can go a long way in bringing hope and compassion to people’s day.

YOU ARE ENOUGH POPON®
This Recognised Female Empowerment Popon® is a beautiful and meaningful gift for every woman.
Hand engraved with the words ‘You are enough’, this Popon is a reminder that we are each enough as we are. Three words that transform everything within, shaping the lives we want to lead, the women we want to be and the world we want to see.Words which provide courage on the days we need it most and help us rise beyond our weaknesses and seek what is beyond our own strength. Words of which our relationship with and proximity to its truth either causes us to stand taller, or shrink ourselves down, shine brighter or hide our light away, celebrate others or tear them down.
Wear this Popon around your neck, keep these words close to your heart and when the thoughts crash in and the waves of doubt and insignificance come - whisper to yourself ‘I am enough’. You are always enough.
Alphabet popons
The Alphabet Popons® were created to recognise each and every person affected by cancer. Every initial worn represents a personal story. 100% of the profits are donated to a recognition project of your choice such as Wellness workshops, run in Partnership with Maggie's cancer care centre.
Cancer impacts nearly all of us in one way or another – it’s a cause close to so many of our hearts. Time and time again Recognised Alphabet Popons are purchased in memory of a loved one, as a meaningful gift for someone going through cancer or to keep those we know in mind throughout their illness. Every initial holds so much meaning and helps keep those we love close to our hearts throughout the hardest of times.
Available in four colour combinations.

This Popon not only helps raise awareness of mental health, it has played a significant role in sparking important conversations around mental health, helping break down stigma and shame and communicating to anyone feeling isolated that they are not alone, there is hope and the sun will shine brighter on another day.

Recognised Pebble Popons support the ongoing and ever-evolving need for solidarity in our world today and carry a simple message: We are better together. Inspired by the pebbles on a beach that are shaped by each other as well as their environment, the Pebble Popons celebrate that we are both unique and connected to one another.
Whether it’s coming together for our planet, equality or justice, we are united through shared experiences. When we stand together in solidarity for one another, we find strength to face today and hope for tomorrow. There is strength in numbers and comfort in unity. In troubled times, we recognise that we are strongest when we stand together in solidarity.
